Job Title: Web Developer
Location: Fully Remote
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $35.00 an hour, depending on experience
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, some weeknights and some weekends depending on seasonality.
We seek a skilled and solutions-driven Web Developer to join our Development Team. This position plays a vital role in building, maintaining, and improving client websites. Primary Job Functions: The Web Developer role is responsible for building and maintaining client websites. The department focuses on leveraging individual strengths. While most projects involve backend development for internal pages, CSS for homepages, DNS and database management for launches, and ongoing maintenance tasks, each portion has a dedicated team to handle that section. Our projects are primarily built on the WordPress platform, requiring proficiency in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and API integrations. Familiarity with DNS, database management, and ServiceTitan is a plus.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement backend solutions for the efficient creation and management of website content
Style homepages based on designs created by our Creative Department using CSS, ensuring they are responsive, visually appealing, and functional
Manage DNS and database tasks for website launches
Perform ongoing maintenance on existing client websites, including adding content or modules and troubleshooting issues
Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to execute website strategies
Utilize WordPress and its environment, including custom functions, post types, ACF, and Gravity Forms
Work with APIs for enhanced website functionality
Maintain thorough documentation of development processes and changes
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress and address any challenges
Desired Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of experience with WordPress
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated and timely in all work
Forward-thinking approach, considering future impacts of current decisions
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
Proficient in project management tools and techniques
Understanding of web development processes and technologies
